Lack of intellectual diversity in higher ed…ya think?

Is it possible that some academics are actually beginning to openly discuss the subject of lack of intellectual diversity in American higher education?

The University of Virginia’s Jonathan Haidt argues forcefully that his fellow social psychologists must become aware of the lack of political diversity in their profession.

    Based on what I have read on e.g. http://durhamwonderland.blogspot.com/ , I am not certain that lack of awareness is the problem: In at least some departments, conformity to PC-ideals appears to be actively promoted and dissenters deliberately filtered out. (But going by your “Dr.” you may know that better than I do.)
