American Vulnerability and Knowledge of Foreign Affairs
September 8, 2016
This morning on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Libertarian Party candidate for President, Gary Johnson, failed a test of knowledge of foreign affairs. When asked about Aleppo, Syria, he asked “What is Aleppo?”
Let’s face it, ask Jesse Watters to conduct interviews with Americans in San Diego, Dallas, Springfield or Poughkeepsie and ask the question “What should we do about Aleppo?” and the answers will be hilarious.
Unfortunately, ignorance of other nations, cultures, languages, and the policies of foreign governments is America’s greatest vulnerability. I titled this “Vulnerable Nation” “in a post on July 22.
