Cutting CPB’s Budget
November 14, 2016
The Public Broadcasting Act of 1967 created the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. CPB is governed by appointees, with confirmation of the U.S. Senate, who serve a six year term. The operating budget in 2014 was $445 million.
If you are appalled by much of the news programming we view or hear on NPR or PBS, why not cut the budget of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting?
Here is a link to the Board of Directors of CPB.
The Trump Administration should plan now to nominate their replacements when their terms expire.
