The “Wild Card” Is an Angry Donald Trump
Like President George H. W. Bush who sought and lost reelection to the Office of President, President Donald J. Trump lost his shot at reelection. And like all former Presidents, Donald Trump’s high disapproval rating indicates that his appeal is waning.
Trump’s very high disapproval by Americans is reminiscent of the 2018 by-elections that signaled that Trump personally was in deep doo-doo.
Loss of the House of Representatives, two Impeachment votes, failed intervention in two Georgia races for the U.S. Senate that ceded control of the Senate by Democrats, and then an attempt to void the 2020 election results by inciting his followers to invade the U.S. Capitol on the day Electoral College results were affirmed, was a dagger in the heart of the Republican Party.
Despite all that the American voter has not bought into radical policies of Progressive-Left Democrats of the Biden Administration and it’s a safe bet that the GOP will retake control of the U.S. House of Representatives in 2022.
The “wild card” in our game of politics is an angry Donald Trump who believes the 2020 election was stolen and what he is willing to do to be reelected in 2024.
